Mathematics Workshop conducted at Jalgaon

Guruji Education Foundation along with Koregaon Education Society, jointly organized a workshop for Mathematics teachers at Jalgaon High School, Koregaon, Jalgaon. Seen in the picture is an article on the workshop, featured in Sakal, a leading Marathi newspaper.

The workshop, which was conducted by Dr. Lalita Deshpande, Mr. Alok Kelkar and Mr. Vishnu Nikam from GEF, guided the teachers on various innovative teaching methods and activities for developing students’ interest in mathematics.

While competency in Mathematics is a critical requirement for any successful STEM career, various studies have highlighted the extremely poor understanding of fundamental Math concepts among school students. GEF’s mathematics workshops for school teachers are a part of our efforts towards addressing this issue.
