This edition of Disha is the first of a two-part series on the theme of “Development Through Social Work”, and primarily focuses on the experiences of students, alumni, and mentors of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Tuljapur.
The edition features a compelling interview with Shri Ganesh Chadre, a dedicated social worker and Campus Coordinator for GEF at TISS, who shares his life journey from extreme hardship to inspiring achievements in his work spanning rural development, women’s empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and youth mentorship. GEF students Gulsan Kousalya, Mahesh Kulsange, Om Prakash Patel, Prashant Londhe, Payal Latelwar, Payal Tembhurnikar, and Samyak Gadge, share their experiences that provide firsthand insights into grassroots development challenges and solutions.
