Scratch Day - Winter Scratch Festival 2025

Scratch Day held on 7th February 2025, marked the culmination of Winter Scratch Festival 2025. Participants from 55 locations joined the event, which was held online.

Shri Sunil Raithatha, Managing Director, Vinodrai Engineers Pvt. Ltd., and Shri Sunil Chitale, President, Kalpavruksha Systems Ltd., were the Chief Guests for the day.

In his address, Shri Raithatha spoke about the importance of Creativity in this era of Artificial Intelligence, and the need for right tools for expressing creativity. He commended GEF’s efforts of reaching out to students from remote villages, providing them with access to the right tools such as Scratch, and helping them develop programming skills and critical thinking.

Shri Sunil Chitale related programming to the students’ day-to-day life, by using examples of concepts that the students had learnt in Scratch, and showing them how those concepts can be applied to various real-life situations.

The proceedings of the entire Scratch Day event were conducted by our school students – Sharvari Katmore, Shravani Kashid, Prathamesh, Renuka Kachare, Shayan, Santosh Satpute, Pranav Deshmukh, Shritej Shinde, Gayatri Patil, Lalit Mahale, and Mahek.
